Let’s be real the holidays will not be the same from traditions to guest list and everything in between so why should your wardrobe choices stay the same? Let’s make this holiday season a stylish but comfy one. So even if you have some unexpected social distancing guests you’ll still look your holiday best. Remember comfy does not have to mean frumpy! All of our comfy but stylish ideas can be dressed down for a more relaxed setting with a cute sneaker or dressed up with a heel, bootie/boots and some fabulous accessories.
The stylish tights. This look is just your regular tights paired with an oversized knit or boyfriend shirt. You can amp the look up by layering. Put the knit and boyfriend shirt together or put a turtle neck under either. Over sized knits come in so many different styles, pullovers, button ups and even robe style. The options are endless with this look. Boy friend blazers and oversized tees with a latex tights are also a great option if you want to be extra fancy.
The matchy matchy look, this look is super easy, super comfy and super chic. This look can be done with all of the styles I have given below
The Pyjama style. Whoever came up with this trend is a style genius and we’re here for it! This look can be dressed down with runners while keeping the PJ top open and paired with a plain tee, crop top or turtle neck, making the look your own. I love adding a head scarf or turban to this look as it gives it an extra luxurious feel.
The comfy dress. Dresses don’t always need to mean you're all dressed up. There are plenty of comfy dress options. Cotton is an easy go to but knit wear is a huge trend. All the comfiest of materials can be found in both oversized and form fitting dress, both long and short in length. Pairing these comfy dresses with a belt will bring a whole new vibe to the dress. I personally love a sweatshirt dress with a cute thigh high or a glam biker boot (Fendi currently stole my biker boot heart). Find a cute cotton or knit dress with the matching sweater and it will elevate the look while keeping you cozy. I highly recommend Zara as they have lots of options.
Tracksuits; the good old fashion way of being comfortable but in a whole new way. Tracksuits are all the rage because they aren't just for staying home anymore... well when we're allowed out again you can totally feel free to rock one to dinner with a heel and a micro mini bag (events aren't the only micro thing we have in 2020). Tracksuits come in all different materials now, from cotton to cashmere and everything in between. Much like the stylish tights look, track pants can be paired with different styles of tops either under the track sweater or on their own. My favourite way to rock the tracksuit trend is the matchy matchy knit ones that are not too oversized, making the look more polished.
Last but not least the jumpsuit. Jumpsuits are the comfier version of a dress while still requiring little to no effort, making them the perfect outfit choice for the 2020 holiday season. Jumpsuits can be worn on their own or layered. Pair your favourite chunky sweater and turtle neck with a jumper or perhaps try something more festive and add a neck scarf for a total 70's vibe. You really can't mess this look up and since they come in all materials and styles any body type can rock the perfect jumpsuit. I love an oversized lighter material jumpsuit that I belt allowing me to still look like I have a waist.
